Our Mission, Vision and Purpose
Our mission is to serve both sides of leash and create a community where all pets have a healthy, happy life. Our purpose is to create opportunities for education and compassion to eliminate animal abuse and strengthen the human-pet bond. We achieve this by executing effective programs to help our municipal animal shelters better serve their communities to:
- Provide quality pet food available to the underserved in our community
- Help elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged residents keep healthy companion pets
- Reduce shelter intake and associated taxpayer spending
At The Pet Compassion Centers, our mission is to support underserved communities and municipal shelters throughout the Mid-South by providing essential resources and services. These include pet food and supplies, surgical care, placement options, through our existing cat-only clinic, with plans to establish a dog-only clinic. We will offer boarding for shelter dogs being transported to approved organizations.
By assisting our overburdened shelters, we aim to play a vital role in fostering compassion and working towards the elimination of preventable euthanasia in our community, ensuring a brighter future for pets and people alike.
The Pet Compassion Centers currently support shelters in Shelby, Tipton, Lauderdale, Haywood, Dyer, Crittenden, DeSoto, Tunica, Tate and Marshall counties in the tri-state areas and will add more this year for those meeting requirements.
